Nice catch. Just had mine winterized and wrapped, and while the guy was doing it he kept telling me I should really wait that they are hitting good. I guess I should have listened.

We have some good sized stripers in the St John's River.
We also have these fish the state stocks called Sunshine Bass. They are a cross between a white bass and a striper. They cannot breed. They get big in a hurry, and will outfight a largemouth every day of the week. I've causht quite a few of them in Lake Manatee. People there just call them stripers.

We were at the marina this summer and a guy came in at about 2am in a 13 foot boston whaler. He was dragging a fish. Turned out to be what we figured to be a 150 pound tuna!!! I asked him if he was the Old Man in the Sea! He said the thing dragged him around for hours. Hard to find a place to take a fish like that at 2am!!!

Skunked yesterday.:(:(

I got out to the middle of the Bay just in time for rain, thunder and lightning. Trolled for an hour until dark and ran back in using the gps. It's weird out there in the fog and no one else around!! There will be plenty of people out there this weekend.:(:cuss:

The gps won't warn you if you are going to run into another another boat. I've been caught in the fog on the Gulf, and it's weired. Luckily my dad had me put a bell on my boat. I would ring it occasionally to warn other boats.

It's all good Joe, I should have been more clear. The fog and mist had lifted when I was running in and it was just dark. I had my lights on and all that!! ;) :D

I heard Stecz and Masher rented a boat, went out, dropped anchor and really got into a mess of them.

So Masher says "you know this spot is really hot, we should mark it so we can find it again."

Stecz replies "Great idea, I'll just mark a big X on the side of the boat."

"You idiot!" Masher says sharply...."What makes you think we'll get the same boat next time?"
