I see there is a thread about places to drink-eat in Key West. How about some stops along the way from Lauderdale down to Key West by 4 wheel transportion for some food and possibly a little libation. Thanks for any suggestions.

I had often wished to have my time and stop at all the interesting places along the way. Sadly I am always in a rush in and out.

That's about 30 miles north of us.

Trying to get out of here next week some time, but will be running back up north for the boat and to return a car trailer. But I might be around.

In 2005, I destroyed a motor on the Tiger about 15 miles out of Miami. As we were limping back, we called and had a limo waiting for us at Sea Isle Marine with a fully stocked bar. By the time we hiyt the Keys we had to make a stop at the Last Chance Saloon for a bottle of Jack a bottle of Capt and 2 bottles of Goose. we then picked up a few more broken down stragglers (Boomer 35 and his crew) at Gilberts and proceeded to hit every single roadside bar on the way down. As we were making our way down US1 who did we see stranded on the side of the road.?????, None other than Cashbar and Bartus, who had run out of gas in the Fountain. It was the most fun Ive ever had on a poker run. The limo ride was supposed to be 3.5 hrs and ended up being 9 hrs..... What a time. It set the tone for the weekend......DRUNKENNESS !!
