I have a Kevlar hull and the two intermediate stringers are cracking.
I have removed the stringer forward of the crack to the transom.
My plan is to replace this section of the stringer.
Would i be able to put down a piece of balsa core in the area between my center and outer stringer to stiffen the area as it seems to be flexing ?
Any ideas

you want to be careful with stiffening an isolated area and causing a hard spot. Do you have pics of where you want to lay the core?

no i don't have any pics
thought about the hard spot problem that is why i was asking
think i will go with my original plan with just re-installing the new stringer

Kevlar tends to be a little more flexible then glass. what kind of boat is it?
