Strange day on Lake Erie. After a week of warm temps and calm water, bright yellow green algae came to the surface and multiplied. It looked like green paint was poured on the water. Started on the western shore near Monroe and streached out for 20 miles. Strangest thing I've ever seen. Please excuse the camera photos.

That would definitely make some excitement runnin that close to the wall in Key West or St Clair....

I think I've seen them close to that in Key Wst where the rock wall changes to seawall maybe. Not positive though.

I hope to make it for one of the days. My friend from Doha Qatar, Sheik Hassan is bringing two of his boats and I'd sure like to be there to support his effort in the USA. He's been such a tremendous help to Unlimiteds. Most interesting, he is perhaps one of the most humble people I've met in racing. We leave for Qatar (our world championships) that Monday after Key West. Need special permission from my wife for Key West :)

This is a crappy picture-of-a-picture but I think it's one of the best quality shots that's been taken of my boat... It looks much better in person... Thank you boatpix.

The seas were 2-3' this day and we had a 20 mph headwind running low 60's mph. Me, my wife, her cousin and her cousins friend comin across.

Dude: We missed San Diego this year, hope Bayfair and ABRA can work out their differences for 2010. Mission Bay is a phenomenal race site.
Rat, the Coast Guard edition was tamer, this is the Special Forces edition Oberto :)
