Tough to beat JL in a true marine speaker.

I've got some 8" Babbs that I've been trying to blow up for four years now. They won't break!

They are possibly the best $$$$ that I've ever spent on a boat :D....I've got 5 spares.:sifone:

The new Alpine Type R 7" marine speakers are pretty bad ass for the money. I found them online for $99 a pair and they come in sliver too.

I like alpines I'll check those out. I'm definitely leaning towards the JLs... They are way more expensive then the others but my boat isn't that big I really only need 4.

Here is where I bought mine. They were the cheapest place I found on the 7" by far. The 6.5" type S's were $99 everywhere. No problems with the order at all.

Always a big fan of JL whether its Marine or Regular Car Speakers, you get what you pay for. Memphis has always been great for me as well. As for Budget, ive always been a fan of Alpine as well, the Type-S stuff is even great, as well as some of the best Head Units.

I just put in Polk DB's in my entire boat. Two 10" subs, to sets of 6.5 components and one set of 6.5 coaxals. Powered by one Kicker 700 amp, and sounds great!

id start with www.onlinecarstereo.com, really good prices there. If your going Budget, i always almost go with Alpine, the 10" Type-R Subs are Great had them in multiple Cars of mine. they also make nice Component speakers. And i think theyre head units are the best, Kenwood also makes nice budget head units.

I've put Polk DB's in several boats including my personal boat and they sound great for the money. I usually use Kicker marine amps.

Do a search on here or OSO for that website. I remember someone posting a terrible experience with a stereo website and that name rings a bell........

Babb's are now DC Gold speakers. They are excellent. I had Babbs in the Pantera and now have 8 DC Golds in the AT. They can take a lot of abuse and are completely waterproof. They also have a 3 year warranty. The cheapest place to buy them is at www.lafayetteradio.com. If I didn't like the DCG's so much, I would have gone with JL's.

Hands down Sonance Speakers are the bomb...... Anything that can spend a year onthe great barrier reef testing and survive will survive any boat ride.....
