Hey GL, you get all you engine gremlins sorted out on the DOI?

Sure looks awsome in her original livery.

We have the two smaller engines in it right now with my smaller props and it gets shy of 130. Buzzes up to 120 pretty fast, so it is a blast to run around.

The bigger mills will be ready by end of September, we should be ready to break them in then, after that it will be Key West to have fun with them.

Rick, I was thinking about you today.

You are always mowing the lawn.
Today, I spent about an hour hosing down all the concrete of my back yard (all kinds of palm nuts).
I figured it was the equivalent for an AZ guy to you mowing the lawn every few days.:26:

GL - sorry for the hi-jack.

That is weird in the water though. When I was Pres of a Lake Assc, there were some algae blooms that were so toxic we would close the lake to human contact and notify everyone to keep animals from drinking from it.

Saturday I went out with my wife and daughter and spent the day anchored up at the local island... Perfectly sunny day in the mid 80's with non-existant winds!! Just a perfect boating day!

Sunday we hung out at the marina in the morning and went to a BBQ in the afternoon... another great day!!!

On Monday I got 4 boats together and we made a run up to NYC. We were supposed to go to Long Island but the winds were blowing northeast the day before at 20mph and it looked like victory at sea (small craft advisory was up) when we turned the hook and ran a few miles. Dee should have some good pics from our run, some boats dissapeared in the waves. ;) The ocean was solid 4-6's and getting bigger the further we went.... We ran up to NYC thru the Narrows and it was 3-4's mostly. On the ride back I ran about 75 mph in the slop for a few miles.... I have some video from the GoPro but have to get it up-loaded, maybe tonight if I have time.

Great ride!

Thanks it was a good day! The Jones family day on the water. My life-long friends from home are in the boat (Phantom), and my mother, brother and his family were in his boat taking pictures at the start of day and at the end of the day.

In the middle of the day I was hanging in the ocean off of the Washington Avenue, Margate beach (Lucy the elephant's beach) looking for a race, but it was either 60/70 mph boats, which I did want to pick-on, or 120 mph boats which would be futile to try to run. Other than that, it was a great day.

Thank you for the compliment

Here's a short video running home from NYC between the Verrazano Narrows to Sandy Hook.

It's hard to tell with the wide angle but we were running in some decent chop, mostly 60-65 mph. There's a little air about 1:50 in ;) and running 75 @ 3 minutes and again at 3:30.

Enjoy!

Sorry, didn't mean to high jack the thread.

I don't think it has a jack because it's in a waterproof case that can go down up to 100 ft but it does have a high/low sound setting and you can also remove the waterproof lense to get more sound in. I'm not sure which setting I have it on but when I had it on the transom a few weeks ago you could hear the engines, although I think it was probably a little too loud and broke up the sound a little.

PS, Sorry for the hijac as well...

Here's a couple of my Labor Day Weekend pics. These were in the Detroit River

Matt looking good. If you are going to be out on the lake this weekend, the LEOPA
run will be pulling into Jacks around 10:45. Come say high

Great vid. That is solid. Wish we had water like that. 3-4 footers is a nasty day around here, few and far between. 5's almost unheard of.
