The chopper he was in went down today, the coast guard has fished Pete and 2 others out of the ocean. None are reported to have life threatening injuries,

Hopefully all he needs is a clean pair of.shorts

Pete bosted on FB that he is good, a bit banged up but good. he requests prayers for the pilot, who took in a bit of water

I didn't **** myself, nor did i panic, although I got hung up on something. once free I pulled the cord on my inflatable and breaking the surface. a little water survival training paid off.

The hospital placed Stan, the pilot, in a medically induced coma. He needs our prayers and thoughts. Stan has flown many offshore races, many poker runs, and many boat dealer and builder photo shoots. He is an excellent pilot.

Thankfully both Pete and Tom are fine.

Pete and Tom have some expensive equipment that is terminal most likely.

My Father was a helicopter mechanic in his early years. He always told me you didn’t want to be on a helicopter when it went down. I’m super happy that Pete and Tom have lived thru my childhood fears. Horrible news to start the new year. But a awesome gift that they are ok!!

You my friend deserve a drink, and I will be more than happy to buy you that drink when I see you this summer !!

They thought Stan would be better today, but he is still in critical condition. They removed water from one of his lungs today, but he is still on the ventilater tube and still sedated. There is more color in his face than yesterday.

Keep up with your prayers and best wishes!!!

Okay, Stan is doing better this morning.

He is resting calmly and all vitals are good. He is off of the intense pain meds and is down to more normal pain med doses. After the doctors reviewed the chest x-rays this morning, they are beginning the process of taking him off of the ventilator today.

I will let you know when I get the next update.

Things are currently looking up, but obviously not completely out of the woods yet.

Talking today a bit, but they are saying he is over the worst of the hump.
