Natural Gas Powered Engines

Why is no one trying to use Natural Gas for marine application.
From what i understand it is very high octane.

I guess filling would be an issue, but wouldn't it help w/ emmissions?

This is a pretty good read on it, though its mainly focused on converting diesels to dual-fuel. But their increases in longevity were impressive.

You'd have to be able to hold a hell of a lot of it, and somehow convice the CG that it isn't an enormous "bomb" disguised as a boat.

It would be nice & lightweight though!
