Dyeing upholstry embroidery

The embroidery on my upholstry has faded badly, but otherwise is in good condition, is there anyway to re dye it? Sharpy marker?

I'd recommend a test first....typical boaters luck leads me to believe it will dye the emb. then as soon as it gets wet, if will run and permanently dye thoe precious nauga's that valiantly gave their lives so you good use their hides for your seats...

And these things don't run onto the vinyl?

Tank, could you try it first and let me know how it works out for you.:biggrinjester::cheers2:

Fabric markers are made to be used on shirts and items that are washed regularly. I think they should work fine.

It looks like maybe I might just do that!! Sh!t if it runs and makes it look bad, it'll just be an excuse to replace it!:sifone:

I friend of mine's wife works for JoAnn Fabrics, she is going to try one of the markers on white vinyl and see what happens, if it stains, if it wipes off..ect..

Theese things work great, the stitching looks like new, it kind of beads on vinyl and wipes off easy.

The fabric markers work, they will fade in time but have not blead. I use it on my ZX emblems on my seats the red fades and the fabric markers bring them back to life. I hit it with a little scotch guard after it tries.
