A Different Question about Cat insurance.

I’m thinking about getting a smaller cat for the lake I live on. I don’t care about going 100 mph but would like to be able to run 80-85 WOT and have a good cruise/economy. Is insurance going to be more than a V bottom with similar speed?

Any recommendations on what boat I should get?

Thanks

I have a Talon 25 cat with twin 260s. Runs 100+ mph in up to 3 footers. Anything bigger than that is too much for my hull. Insurance for agreed value is 450.00 a year. I'm happy. Russel Massey insured me.

What is your agreed value?

That is dirt cheap.

Your suggestion of boat size was perfect.

Twister marine and Argo also...pure racecats but can be converted.
They go 100+ with one 200Xs... or XR2

Agreed value was 40k with trailer. The hull is a 1989 and the engines are 1992s. Only way I could afford it was to buy an older hull. Hustler still builds them, but, not cheap!

25 Eliminater Daytona with a stock 500 will put you at 80 plus in a more civilized package than a "race boat"
600hp knockin on 90, 700hp will make 100 or dam close.
Personal experience says 900 gets real fun :)
