I dont know how to post the link but there is a 24 Jaws hull for 2000.00 that looks decent if anybody is looking.

If your not looking for a race boat those Jaws don't suck.. Me and Jim Arvis Raced one in "A" Class back around 93-94 and totally whipped some purpose built race boats. Until Key West where we got to (The Wall) the first turn First but then the Pleasure boat Lay-up started to show it's self, we landed off a huge wave and something didn't feel right, we pulled off course and I jumped in the water only to find part of the running surface missing:cuss:..The coast gaurd floated it and took us all the way back to the dock.. It's great weekend wave jumper, no chine walk even up to the high 80's....Oh, and the one we had.....Was Black:leaving:

The story is Aronow had the old Master Harry Schoell build a 23 (which became a 24) foot vee bottom for Doc Magoon who was running his Boat, Harry built a Mica faced mold and that boat became the basis of most of what we see around the Earth. Now how it got too Jaws/Lorequin Marine in Miami is a Mystery an Miami mystery!

Funny... Those Miami mysteries... I heard a guy once refer to Miami as a sunny place for shady people. :sifone:

I usually hear Jaws, PD, Pantera, Panther, etc. all sort of referred to in the same group as far as hull shape goes. I guess it's kinda like anything else, it's not always just about the shape, it's about who built 'em! :reddevil:

Mr Schoell designed that as I understand, More History:Now he Also did the 27 Magnum (was 29 when he built it) it became the Cigarette 28 as a matter of fact they stuck the first one (Bag Wax) so what did they do?? went and got another 27 Magnum. sunk that mold behind Cigarette in the channel.

My theory is the Boats cross-pollinate somehow and that is how they got into shops where they did not belong.

When I was at Magnum Giovanni retooled the deck for the 27 Magnum way cool job they did, the original 27 mold is still there 450 Pulls out of it also there was a Magnum Missile out back they have even the original brochures and decals for it.

The jaws is a 7 ft beam not 8 ft.....I had a buddy that had one and he said that for what was it wasn't to bad. The one big issue was the bottom of the hull wasn't so striaght so he had to blue print it. Also the craftmanship and the lay up was no where near a panter, cig or mag etc.....It's more like a P&D

Jr

That "Cross Pollinate" sh*t right there is Funny, So True, But Funny:rofl:

Per brownie, "Schoell also did the 23' Magnum which became the basis for a hundred 7' wide hulls and boat companies."

It was done for Doc Magoon who was Aronows fair haired boy, Harry built a Mica Mold instead of a plug In fact He (Magoon) raced one in the Bahamas race with Two Outboards on it I always thought it was a Cigarette
