Are you referring to the 28' specifically? My friend had a 33' for a number of years that ran low 90's and it never hooked, it was solid as a rock.

So is it sounds like a bow lifting prop would be beneficial on these.
I think with the SB u can run them out ,,hence the less weight in the back versus the BB ,,,,may handle the same as a BB turning in and pick up a little speed ??

On my 33 with boxes and 650's i turned them out aswell,,,and gained some speed ,,,!!!!!!!!!!
Handling wise ,,,mhhhh ..really did not make a diffrents on the boat.

My 33 never hooked either,,,but i stuffed it once. LOL
And yes the 28's like to hook ,,bow steer,,because its basicly the first 28 feet of the 33 !!!! So less running surface .
    But any ways,,,GREAT BOAT !!!!!!

I never got to run it with the weather & work. But the mechanic & the owner of the Marina ran it Friday to check out their work & said it ran great. They only took it up to 4500 rpm & said it felt like low 70's but of corse the GPS wasn't working. I think Brett saying it runs good means alot since he has a 46 Outerlimits. I just need to change a shift cable & get the Garmin working & i'll be ready for this weekend.

The boat runs great! We ran last night in some 3-4s & the boat handles incredible. I think it will need some more power this winter it only ran 67-68 on the spedo. One good thing about the small blocks is it doesn't burn much fuel

Billy, it was a fun ride last night!!! I still can't believe you wanted me to run it out! You got a great deal on that rig!

Daredevil, I was driving the boat and didn't notice any hooking tendancy's what so ever. On a few waves I even got wet, lol and the boat tracked very well and flew nice and level. This was with props spinning out, so even less bow-lift.

there isnt any hooking tendency. Dont know what daredevil is talking about.

Try spinning the props in. My bet is you will pick up 2-3mph and grab a handheld gps to confirm!

Thanks for your help. If the storm misses us i'll run it Sat or Sun & have a new Gps. It could have been much worse at least I only needed to change an intake, GPS & shift cable
