My buddy broke an upper drive shaft on his XR this weekend. He needs merc part # 812773T02. Are these shafts the same as the standard bravo? He says he has a regular bravo shaft laying next to his broken shaft and they are the same diameter. What makes the XR a better shaft I guess is the question? Next question is there anything better than a XR upper shaft?

    Thanks,

    Andy

They are the same as far as I remember.

Look up the part numbers for the standard bravo and XR, should be the same number if I'm not mistaken.

Max Machine and Teague make a stronger one I think.

Old post I know. Merc upgraded the clutch shaft and I believe it has a #1 or a "A" stamped on the top of the better shaft, the early shaft has no markings. Max Machine does offer a stronger shaft, but its pricey, like $600 or so.

812773T02 is called a Hi Perf. shaft its shot peened (or how ever u spell it ) its an up graded shaft that came out a few years back. I have put many in Bravo 1's with the up graded gears sets with good results.

Bored at work today and I got my lap top with me. so I punched in the part #

812773T02 fits Bravo one, XR one, BravoXR Sportmaster, Bravo XR Three and Bravo XZ one

All standard Bravo One upper use 812773T the old part # was 96061T If I remember the old part number doesn't have the bottom collor machined as part of the shaft its held on the shaft by keepers like the top collor

The 812773T02 can be used in the standard Bravos as an up grade.

    812773T02 list price $273.25
    812773T List price $282.25
Go figure the better shaft is cheaper ??????????????????????
