    Question
Pulled a shaft rocker stud out of a head two weekends ago and since it is all apart, I am looking everything over.

What is the consensuses for piston to wall clearance with closed cooling, coolant temps ranging around 160-180?

Follow piston specs. from manufacturer, you have plenty of heat for normal clearances. You don't have to worry about scuffing the pistons from the block not expanding at a normal rate. Running a thermostat you can keep from running more clearance, piston to wall.
