So I've seen the old "bubble" style hatches mounted with the high side in the front and some with the high side in the rear. Soooo... which way is the intended way ("right way") and which way do you guys think looks better?

    Here's a couple of examples.

I don't think it makes too much difference either way (looks)
I would get better clearance with the height in the rear based on the way the mtr sits in the boat.

I'm "thinking" about mocking up some stuff on my standard hatch with cardboard and tape. If I can get a look that I'm happy with I may attempt to do it my self.

Tom, I'd never make fun of you.
The first picture I ever saw of you, you were on the boat with a sawzall in hand.
You gained immediate respect in my book!

I know, it doesn't take much to fit in this group, except maybe for some mis-wired brain cells, and an offshore addiction. (and maybe a case of beer).

I should have been more clear... I would call it a Moron hatch if it came out crap.

But you guys would never see it. Ha Ha

Any one looking for a blower hatch. My 24x7 python has undergone an engine swap and no more blower, so now I have the raised hatch with a hole in it. I don't want a scoop, just sunpad for the boat ornaments!!! Taking offers or trade for stock hatch. 803-457-3050.

The KV's were mounted like the first pic, with more taper forward.

Put up a couple pics. I already have an extensive collection of blower hatches (well two, but that seems like more than I need), but maybe Tim could use one for his 24.

Im new to posting pics on here and having trouble. My hatch has a stock look, but the back is raised and rounded a bit to compensate for the height from the blower (the carbs stick out the hatch). Until I can figure how to post pics, look at my avatar. Can you see the carbs sticking out the hatch at the back?
