Cool Old video of MI - 1949
    #1
Came across this on YouTube via Twitter - it's a travelogue series, featuring Michigan destinations in 1949. Was part of James A. Fitzpatrick's "TravelTalks" series. Includes footage of Spikehorn Meyer, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Mackinac Island, Traverse City, Soo Locks and other places.

It's very nostalgic - I'm sure some things have changed a lot (Traverse) but a lot of these other areas probably haven't changed that much at all.

Yes still there - I've been to the dunes - but it's been almost 30 years now.

But the "dune-mobiles" I saw where't nearly as cool as those old hot rods they were using back in '49.
