I found a voltage drop at the merc plug yesterday. My volt gauge was reading 1 volt lower than what the reading was at the battery. It's the ground wire to the all the gauges. When I used the tabs, trim, lights, it would drop even more. Watching the dvom and wiggling the plug the meter was jump up and down. Pulled it apart and the pins aren’t corroded, just dirty.

What is a good way to clean them and do I use a die-electric gel.

Wrap fine scotchbrite or in a pinch, fine steel wool, over a small drill bit, then turn by hand on the female ends. I have a hand-held chuck that I found years ago. Then dielectric grease.

Also, on the male ends, slip a small screw driver in the slot on each bullet point to seperate them a little. It will make for a tigheter fit when you plug it back in.

Be very careful not to seperate it too much cause you'll break it. Also, making sure the hose clamp is tight helps everything stay together.
