We had a blast with Marc. It was great telling stories with him about "back when". And his entourage was pretty amusing too.

Nice meeting you Marc. Had a great day with stories and boats and pretty ladies and beer and sunshine. Can't beat that recipe

Just curious, what was the total amount that was donated from the entry payments to DREAM DISCOVER CURE / NYC Columbia University Hospital?

Good question. I contributed $300.00 and would like to know that it made it's way to the charity.

The total amount contributed was $2650.00. I believe Alec matched that amount.

Not too shabby folks. I was going through my charitable deductions the other day, and I came across the Paypal receipt--was curious how things panned out.

I know that in this day and age, honesty and integrity are incredibly important to many people.
So, since I received a raffle ticket in exchange for my "donation" I did not claim it as a deduction. To do so would have been a violation of Section 170(f)(8) of the Internal Revenue Code and Section 1.170A-13(f) of the Income Tax Regulations.

I sure didn't want that to come back and haunt me.

You are correct. Chris certainly did his part and my hat is off to him. I've donated to charities in the past and never received what was promised.

If you were a donor to the raffle, feel free to PM me. I'd be happy to fax to any of you all the paperwork associated with the donation and the contact information at Columbia Hospital, the beneficiary of the donation.
