    Is Merc HP drive oil synthetic and regular Merc drive oil non-synthetic?

    And...

    Is Merc HP drive oil ok for a Bravo1 with around 550hp?

    I have never used the regular but I know the HP is synthetic and is the only thing I would use in your Bravo.

    I've never paid attention to what I was putting in it, I just always put in Merc oil. Did on research on the site and it seems everyone is using Merc HP in 500-600 hp apps.

    I think Merc recomends the HP for ALL bravo's.
