When did Mercury change the design of the rear bellhousing engine mounts and the lock-washer on Bravo's?
Just re-rigged a Sea Ray with the 357" Bravo III package and the rear mounts were different and the spiral lock washer is also different than all previous Alpha/Bravo designs.
it's been a while since a re-rig on one of these so bear with me.

Some time recently. I just changed them on a 496 and they were s/s to the new pair. Then it mentioned they may be a different height so I changed them on the other motor too. It is fun pressing them out. Looked like Mr Magico holding all the driver and spacer pieces in the press.

06-10-2009 07:47 PMCool, I feel much better! Actually dropped the engine in and used the old washer and noticed the engine was about 1/4 up higher. Put the SS washer in and it lined right up. Haven't seen it yet so it threw me for a loop!
