I have many Mercruiser Big Block Chevrolet flywheels. You have a block mounted starter on your engines, correct? (216) 398-8500 I will work you a deal. Thanks

06-18-2009 02:15 PMWhat's wrong with the one you have????
A lot of the standard flywheels are cut for the ring gear on either side. If your ring gear is bad just tap it off, buy another one for $30, heat it up and tap it on.
Also, is your engine stock? If it's not and it's internally balanced you need a neutral balanced flywheel with the counterweights machined off.

TRS with the BW trannie came with a top mount starter as noted above. It is possible to use a block mount starter too. The boat I have has the block mounted starters. At some convenient point I would like to change them back to top mounts.
