He couldn't stand it. Took her out last weekend and spanked her cute little butt, BUT GOOD! Took some friends for a ride and we got a little company from the sky to tag along for a few miles.

Have to reach over and smack the throttle man now and then to keep his pinwheel eyes from rolling too far back in his head. Enjoy!

It's odd to Jim hanging on to something....

Usually it's an arm over the side......

Must not be used to throttles yet.....

Paul, I prefer not to drive my boat. I encourage who ever else is in it takes the wheel. Everybody in the boat drove her that day.

I have been teasing myself by following Bud Weisner's Magnum threads and BDC1013 420 thread.

Few people seem to appreciate classic boats for what the are. My project is on hold but, it does sit clean, covered and operational. I can't wait until I can work on her again. Soon as she lives inside again.

No, I do not plan on changing the throttles, I refuse to paint or remove the teak. I searched and found red 33C Morse cables for the indicators. I couldn't stand the idea of replacing them with anything else. I plan to remove the gaffrig gauges and replace with the Stuart Warners the boat came with. I am tempted to buy a new Blue Card Ritchie compass but, no I will keep my original Dansforth. My Nordskog speedo still works and is accurate.

I am Lucky to have her.

Jim, you have a sweet 10 meter. I love the original throttles and interior. Dont change a thing! I hear ya on the stewart warners to go back to original though, that would be cool.

Thanks, I intend to keep her as close to as produced as possible. So far the only things changed are the gaffrig gauges and the are going to go back to SW. 370's changed to 502's with Gils and the 525 SC ignition. The entire boat has been IMRON'd no more gelcoat to buff.

Once she gets to stay inside I will really show her some love.

Those old 370s were great motors! What does it run with the 502's? What HP are they?

Not sure, But the speedo says about 420. { Based on what I know from new boats in '88. However my drives are lower so maybe more like 450} They need to be freshened up. I replaced the intakes shortly after I got it. They were rotted at the water ports and leaking in to the rear runners. I have intended to pull them and do the heads when I got her but, have been side tracked a few times. First I had to freshen up the trailer. Then do some glass work forward on the cabin floor.

I just need to get her inside to finish my list. My winter project is getting a garage up.

I have a Powerboat Performance report with 460 and TRS. 15x24 three blade cleavers at 5400 went 80. That is where I will be when I'm finished.

I tried to scan it. Will need to try again later.

Those 10 meters really impress me with the speeds they run. For a older non stepped boat, running thru transmissions, they really run. Havent dynoed my engines, but guessing around 625hp per side. Best speed Ive seen is 84mph on gps. Mines a 36/38 fever non stepped with ssm iv's.
