I talked to the guy that's selling the boat and he said it is a old race boat that was in Brazil. He said it was only raced for a couple of years and was stored in a barn for like 20 years. When he got it, the motors were Lamborghini's. He said they were in bad shape so he replaced them.

Any of you Apach historians know of a boat set-up like this?

All white hull, black transom, with one #6 drive missing, I think? Red Lambo motors and was being sold by Matthew Smith, if we're talkin same boat. I wanted that boat

Found pics on harddrive ... I think this might be it ...

I love the boat, except for the scoops, but that's going to be a hard one to sell. No cabin and three seats limits it to racers or rich guys doing poker runs.

I wouldn't mind being either one.

So it looks like Guardado did the resto on this one? If so, they did an excellent job!

No but he told me all the work was done locally. I think he said it was done by a Cuban guy.

For the scoop intakes they cut 4" holes in the race hatches. He said the scoops could be easily removed and the holes plug.

His name is Dave Sawyer (sp). He said his son owned the 45 Apache at one time. Ever here of him?
