Check the IMCO website. They have P/N's for the Char-Lynn helms.

Mine is 3 turns lock to lock with dual rams. 1.5 might be a little sensitive

If you know the bore of the cylinders, the stroke and the diameter of the rod,
I can walk you through the math to get the desired ratio. It's pretty simple.
I dug through my stuff but didn't have any helms. I do have an extra geroter set though.

I'm about 3 turns lock to lock and would prefer the 1.5. It all depends on what you like.

I could not pass up this deal. I didnt know the size of the helm but I knew it would work. When I got it I looked it up and its the 230cc. I guess I will have to get used to the fast steering. The boat is a 27' Excalibur and is only 6'6" wide. With 575hp it should be pretty fast and fun.

How do you mount the helm under the dash....With the hoses on the top or can they be coming in the side ?

You can point them any direction you would like.

Thanks again guys.
After I posted, I did some more reading and figured out they can be mounted which ever way works the best for the application. When I start the install I will take pics and post the progress.

Another question.
Do the Charlynn helm use an O-ring or pipe fitting ?
-

I believe they may be o-ring, but am not sure.
Pipe would be tapered thread o ring would be none tapered.
