Sunday brings day 1b and we should see at least 500 players. All told there should be close to 800 players for the 500k bringing the total prize pool to around $1.2 mil.

    .... Until tomorrow!

    AND WERE OFF !!

    Sunday, March 22, 2009
    THE TOURNAMENT IS CLOSED
Players are no longer being admitted to the field, as late registration is officially closed. The waitlist was at least 60 players deep, with less than 20 claiming a seat.

Vidal Araulfo (Manhattan, NY) was holding ticket number 60 and when his name wasn't called said, "It's a shame, I drove 100 miles an hour to get here. It's a great event, I just wish I was playing," he said. "Oh well, I'll go play cash."

It's a testament to the Borgata staff and the tournament structure, which has thrilled the players and heeds the lesson, the early player gets the seat!

There are 589 players for Day 1B, bringing the two-day total to 873.

The prize breakdown should be announced within the next hour.

Level 3's underway, blinds are 75/150

THAT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE A $1,309,500 TOTAL PRIZE POOL !! AND MY ERROR...THE TOP 10% ARE IN THE MONEY WHICH MEANS EITHER 87 OR 88 PEOPLE ARE GETTING PAID. WILL POST THE STRUCTURE OF PRIZE POOL WHEN I GET IT !!

"IF"...yes "IF" i make the money im donating 10% of my proceeds...5% to Hospice and 5% to The American Cancer Society. Some of you may not know but my mom was diagnosed with Ovaian cancer in June, had a FULL hysterectomy and then did her 6 rounds of chemo which ended 2nd week of December. Then Jan 1st was admitted to hosp with abdominal pain. They did exploratory surgery and found her intestines and abdominal wall loaded with cancer and was on a VENT in ICU for several days after the surgery due to her COPD. I emailed my mom & dad the link to the blog to follow and they have and theres a section for shout outs. So tomorrow mom & dad are getting one letting them know about my intentions of my donations and that i miss them both very much. There down in FLA and were hoping to get mom back up to Jersey sometime in April (my lil sis is gettin married in August n in early January the Dr's didnt think she'd be around to see it). Shes getting a petscan this week which will be read by her oncologist on 3/30 at which point we hope he clears her to fly...sry to end this on a down but just a very meloncoly few days...my folks enjoyed watchin me play the few times they did and are pissed there missing this...told them both that i had there pic with me the day i won the satellite and also this Saturday and will also have it with me again Monday...on that note gonna go dry my eyes, shoot the Nyquil and try n get some rest...NITE ALL...gotta be on the road and headed to the warzone by 9AM

OH WELL...started the day w 1000 n 2000 blinds with a 200 ante...was at a table where i was 2nd from last short stack with my 68k. was basically card dead for entire round, managed to scoop a small pot with a pair of 10's. get to where blinds are 3 n 6k, i have just under 40k in chips. im the big blind, everyone except 1 player n the small blind folds. im in seat 3, seat 6 raises my 6k big blind and puts another 12k on top...standard 3 times the blind raise folds around to the small blind he calls, now its 12k to me. i call his 12k from the big blind which leaves me lil over 20k left...i have J-10 suited. Best hand i see in a while so i say screw it and lets see a flop. Flop comes 9hearts 8spades 7clubs...WOOHOOO i flop the nut str8....i shove ALL IN !! Seat 6 re-raises another 20k on top..im in heaven. Small blind calls him...im thinkin tripple up and puts me lil over 100k...ALLS GREAT !! turn comes j clubs..they check check (obviously out for my head now) river comes 4 of clubs...SMALL BLIND SHOWS AK of clubs and sucked out the nut flush on the river, i turn over my flopped str8 and seat 6 shows poaket A's...UN****INREAL...IM LIVID...callin him a suck out donkey yadda yadda yadda. i grab my stuff got into the sports book room, order a jack n ginger, light up a smoke n take it all in. 14-15 tables left in play at that point (140-150 people) and thats how i got cracked. I finish my smoke n drink, regroup for a few. I wander over to a 2-5 no limit table sit down with $400 at about 6:30 PM and commence an ass whopping for the next 3 hours...scooped up my stuff after my final hand i slow played pkt dueces, flop comes A,K 2...i bet $50 get re-raised $100 on top and another re-raise comes over him ALL-IN for like $500 n change. I INSTANTLY CALL ALL-IN for my remaing $400 n change. The intial raiser goes into the think take..then folds. The ALL IN re-raiser flops over A K for top 2 pair...i jump up..turn over my pocket DEUCES for the set...turn a Q, river a blank...he looks at me i look at him and i say nothing except ...SHIP IT !!! Scoopin like $1200 n change from the pot...rackin up my chips to leave. His name was Mikey, from Staten Island. He starts with the oh thats how ur gonna do it...gonna "CLIP" me like that and leave..and starts get loud, floor comes over n warns him. I said Mikey..bro i been here since 10AM, its almost 10PM and yes...IM OUT. Nothing personal but my times up..and the way my lucks been today, if i dont leave know i'll end up donating it all back...AND TONIGHT IM LEAVING A WINNER...everyone have a great nite n IM OUT !! as im walkin away can still him him hotter then a firecracker...so thats my story n im stickin to it !!
