    Best I ever saw was 71 on gps. The boat did not have hydraulic steering, and being that the hull was never designed to go that fast, it handled like $hit at 70. It was great around 55-60 though. It was heavy for sure, but pretty damn solid. It was originally a small block/alpha boat. Then converted to bravo/540CI. Was a fun boat on lake shafer!

    Cool what year? My I was a young kid my friends Dads buddy had a 60's original sweet 16, very cool boat. The lower unit did not even trim.

    That is a cool looking boat!! did you read the article Brownie wrote in one of the boat mags about taking 2 of those across the Gulf Steam to deliver in Bimini?

    But back in the 80 My brother and I took it from Chicago to Saugatuck to the boat races by water. Ah to be young and crazy again.
