Has anyone replaced their inverter in their Cig? If so, what all was involved?

I am not sure if the inverter in my boat is bad, but it looks archaic so it has to go, plus i need ac when running on batts which my current one cant do (dont remember seeing cables to batts & my ac outlet doesnt work when on batts ((havent tried shore power yet)). I want to replace it w/ a Xantrex Pro 1000. Reading thru the manual, it looks like this inverter supports ac from both shore power & off batts.

You think i can just remove the old one & use the same wire infrastructure, but just add some cables to the batts for the new one? I really dont want to get in to rewiring the entire boat.

I guess its a charger, not an inverter.
Sounds like i will need to replace that charger, & then add an inverter.
