I like the black ones, but the toggles may be more robust for the marine environment?

Toggles to keep it looking classic like it should and save the black "euro" switches for the bayliners of the world.

I voted for the black round one, but I'm not sure how they will hold up.

Take a look at the rectangular Carling flat rockers. Tough and waterproof.

I voted for the toggle. I actually like the black w\light better, but black plastic on a boat doesn't seem to stay black for long. A year or 2 in the sun, and you have more of a grey. Not to say the white won't get dirty, but you can probably replace the boot pretty easily.

Are the black switches marine switches?

Check out these switches! The company's name is Bulgin.

Go to the left side of the screen and click on "switches".

Someone used to make a line of extra heavy duty toggles- they had big, thick machined batons and rubber booting on the bottom third of the shank. Haven't seen them in a while.

I just did mine. I used the metal switches. simple, effective, and small.

kind of a crappy pic but you get the idea. I kept them on a separate panel so I could pull it out if need be, without pulling the dash out.

The ones in the new Sunsation XRT are pretty robust! Not sure who makes them though...
