Oops, I guess I need to clarify this.

The complaints, (and as I was told totally inappropriate behavior), were from APBA and RWO towards P1/LOTO because they thought that the LOTO race date should be moved, even though the LOTO race has been on the same weekend for years, and the Ocean City race is new this year.

Plus, a lot of the sports sponsors and teams call LOTO their home water. Teams have to compete there.

One thing is for sure, from chatting with several of the race teams, it is dang near impossible to run the Cocoa Beach rough water race, the LOTO calm water race, and the Ocean City rough water race within a 23 day time window; 3 races, 3 weeks, 3 totally different areas of the country.

    Home to Cocoa Beach, ????
Cocoa Beach to LOTO, 1228 miles
LOTO to Ocean City, 1175 miles
Ocean City to Home, ???? miles

And there will be boat causualities issues.

Still an issue, some classes are voting to be allowed to drop races.

So, they would vote to drop a race, say it stays an 8 race series, only the best 6 points races would count for the Championship title.

Still makes sense to go to all 8 if you can, but if you can't, you have the opportunity to still compete for the championship.
