This year is extra special for 2 reasons....
1) It is being held in Ottawa (I'll be at the arena to catch the end of the USA/Germany game on the tailgate bigscreen, then inside for the Canada/Czech game)
and
2) Canada plays the USA on News Year Eve....

Forget the overpaid, uninterested head cases in the NHL (ie Sean Avery), this is hockey played by kids for nothing more than love of competition, and love of their Country.

I was at the game last night - Canada vs Germany,
Great value for the $
Much better than watching a bunch of whiney millionaires run around pretending that they care if they win or lose!
Still hard to pay $10 for a beer at the rink..
Some guy cut in front of me at the Valet parking too.... (yup, you Blue Llama!) LOL
GO CANADA GO - Strive for 5 baby!!!

I'll be there, I just got the call.
If you make it, I'll buy the beer, if not, on the dock in Smuggler's Cove this summer
Sens? who are the Sens?
Let's go Blackhawks...

Yippee. Gold medal for Canada. Canada 5 Sweden 1. I was able to watch almost all of games down here in FL. Once again, proud to be a Canadian.
Also proud of my association with USA. Best of both worlds I guess.

The Game 3 Stanley Cup Final against Anahiem was like a Nashville/Ottawa Exhibition game compared to last night.
You couldn't hear the whistles for most of the game.
It was a great win, but I still think the Canada/US game on New Years Eve was the most exciting game of the tournament.
