I sure hope everyone sticks together and grows the sport again like they have this year.

Can you imagine how it would have grown if it weren't for the RWO mess?

A couple of events coming up that may point to the direction the sport will take for next year.

Will there be a Kenner event for SBI? They are running out of time to reschedule.
Will any boats show up for Dunkirk for RWO next weekend?

On a further note, if those 6 bond together and set the parameters, they could almost rule the sport. Lucy did a great job of that when SBI withdrew their support and she organized Sarasota on her own. I think that was the very beginning of the most likely end for SBI. Those 6 organizers could be the beginning of the end for multiple orgs fighting over key venue locations and splitting the sport into pieces.

Still waiting to see what happens in Dunkirk this weekend. If you click on the entry list for Dunkirk, it still says "This content is not yet available". They are tossing money numbers out there, like a $25,000 purse for the outboard cats, but they did the same last year in Mentor with a promised $100,000 purse, and then didn't pay out so that may not fly.

    Waiting to see.

sbi is only going thru the motions in order to claim some financial gain.
Their object is not to run any races . all staff is gone .

its august !!! I doubt kenner will happen .

most racers know who really runs what is left of sbi .
they wont put that money down knowing they will lose it absolutely.

Its a shame .JC should have been allowed to leave on the hi note he built .
but face it he hasn't been in control for a long time.
and all this lrgal garb for an xtra buck is sickening .don't even need it .

RWO !!!!! wow I am at a loss.
    who is doing keywest ?
    hopefully no one

The cat outboards, (with the exception of two), and the Supercats have agreed to not boycott Key West. So. I think there will be a race there. Who runs it, I have no idea. SBI has the permit and funding from the county. RWO has the permit from the city, and have promised all kinds of money to the city to get the permit from them.

Maybe when the city sees the boat count from Dunkirk they will second guess themselves?

    Who knows.
