"For the fun of it, we put the boat through a few acceleration drills.

From a standing start, the boat rocketed to 46 mph in 10 seconds and 78 mph in 20 seconds.
In comparison, the 400R-powered boat that was part of the Speed On The Water Mercury Racing Verado 400R Sport Cat Roundup in August 2018 on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks reached 52 mph in 10 seconds and 84 mph after 20 seconds.

In the 40-to-60-mph and 40-to-80-mph tests, the 300R-powered model took 6.1 seconds and 13.2 seconds, while the boat with 400Rs needed 5.8 seconds and 12.1 seconds in the same tests."

I can't wait to see numbers from the boosted V8 when it comes out.

It seems odd that the difference in speed at both 10 seconds and 20 seconds was 6 mph.
