02-15-2019 11:47 PMI'm not sure about the hottest classes comment. They are starting the weight out at 12,000 lbs because some of the current boats are so heavy. I cannot imagine what a 12,000 lb boat will do with 1100;s on a short 4 mile course.

02-16-2019 07:44 PMHopefully, talking with some of those who would be in the class, they can drop it to 11,000 before the season, or shortly after the season starts.

02-21-2019 12:08 AMEven more interesting, two of the boats that are supposedly in the 5 which will be ready according to one participant, are the two boats another person has said will not compete in the class if the weight stays at 12,000 lbs.
And I firmly believe that 12,000 lbs, just to appease one possible participant, is so much weight to add to some of the boats it would make them dangerous if a crash happened. 1500 lbs of lead in a boat is just too much in my opinion.Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!

02-21-2019 11:30 PMWhen I was talking to the Mercury Racing people, they were unsure how many engines they could possibly get done before the first race.
We shall see......Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!
