    It's an arms race. When some asshole sees his buddy's $100,000 bass boat, he will commission a $150,000 bass boat.

    There is no reason a center console for day use needs to be more than $250,000. Beyond that, it's status for status sake. You aren't getting there any faster, drier, smoother or better. Just cooler. I realize I am semi-guilty because I use a 28 Apache with dry exhaust twin bbcs as a fair weather runabout. Completely unnecessary for how I boat. But it's cool.
