A couple laps after the Cleveland Construction mishap, CRC had an even bigger issue.

They went into the corner either too hard, or hit a bad wave, and this was the result as the spray cleared.

The boat was obviously badly damaged. The starboard side, which we could see, had numerous areas missing.

Obviously, the rescue personnel were equally as concerned, as they dispatched the rescue divers almost immediately.

It took much longer for Mike and Gary to exit the canopy than what it took Cleveland, but they did both get out. Probably quicker than what it seemed.

As they towed the boat past to the pit area, we could see the other side was also blown out. As was part of the deck behind the canopy. The boat was being kept afloat, what seemed like barely, with inflatable bags.

Back in the pits, the damage was obviously immense.

It seems to me, this boat will not race again, ever. But, I guess anything made with fiberglass is repairable.

    We shall see.

We are sure glad both Gary and Mike were relatively unharmed. I believe one concussion protocol observation only.

I wonder if CRC is going to run their 42' or if they were going to try and have this fixed?
