Check out the new toy Nordic has in its stable. The former 40-foot Eliminator has found a new home and a future thanks to outboard power.

06-28-2018 05:21 PMThat is interesting.
The tunnel is so narrow, and the two hulls so wide, I think you may be able to put two 400's on each side and not have anything intruding into the tunnel.Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!

06-29-2018 05:46 PMThe other thing I notice, the two hulls are so flat it must really pound in rough water. I hope I get a chance to test one, or read a test on one, in some normal Pacific Ocean rough water. I've never seen a bottom design like that. Not in any offshore cat ever.

07-01-2018 08:33 AMThat sounds about right for a boat that size without a vacuum bagged layup.
I do not know their lamination schedule though. So maybe the weight is elsewhere?Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!

07-02-2018 08:06 AMI should qualify that. That weight would be with power, ready to run.

07-10-2018 07:09 PMI have to believe when they pull off the 400's and put on 350's, 5"s deeper in the water, it will be a really slow boat. That is a lot of additional drag.
