Starting a search for a 28 Donzi. A new one was brought into our (very conservative) yacht club around 1966. I was standing on the dock when it pulled in and moored next to our 27 foot, wood hull single engine cruiser. Lifelong impression made instantly. Boat is still in my area, and i've been tempted to purchase it a couple of times. Just resold and new owner is doing a full restore. More of a project than i was prepared for at the time.
Currently have a 1995 Blackhawk. Unmolested and pretty much original. Low hours and i doubt it's ever been in salt water. Its an original, but not the black and gold LE.
Weve got the Skater for poker runs and the rough stuff, and a couple of other boats to play with.
So rather than put hours on the Blackhawk just driving around, I'm going to sell it and try to turn it into a 28.

    Any ideas?

Thanks! Called him. Old post. He sold it a little while back. Now has a Blakfin. Kind of a bad photo. The 28 is the early Donzi race boat. Pretty rare, and clearly Im obsessed. Good catch by the way.

My radar is still running for a 28. I still have the Blackhawk ( wife loves it) and a couple of others, but trying to thin the fleet so I can justify a new project.
    Got somethin'??

I grew up using one of these as our family pleasureboat between 1987 and late 90's, beautiful ride, dry ride in openwater.
