What are your thoughts on the 300's versus the old 280's?

The durability in the long run should be really good. Not really worrying about them blowing up every time you start them should be good too. Overcoming the guardian mode and weight issues need to be addressed.

Do you have the Merc program in your laptop that tells you exactly what the cause of the Guardian mode was? On the one boat we had 30 "Unknowns", (faults, not Guardian mode). Griffith had to bring his laptop from Merc to let us know.

Rat, how many of the faults were for things not being used. Things like sea water temp and fuel level often show up but not used on a particular boat.

I am curious to see if they really are more dependable over time. Do the compressors on your engines have air filters protecting them. Many XS engines do not.
