COCOA BEACH and PORT CANAVERAL, Florida -- The 6th annual "Thunder on Cocoa Beach" Super Boat race has returned once again to Florida's Space Coast.

Saturday

The Race Village on Dave Nesbit Drive in the Cove at Port Canaveral will open from noon until 10 p.m. on May 16, 2015. The event will feature the powerboats on display along with food, drink, and live music. A 2015 Miss Thunder on Cocoa Beach Bikini Contest will be held at Milliken's Reef at 8 p.m. with contestant registration at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday

On May 17, 2015, the first super boat race start time is at noon, followed by a second race that begins at 2 p.m. The race route starts at Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach and heads south for a first turn at Lori Wilson Park then back north for a second turn at The Cocoa Beach Pier, then back south for a finish at Shepard Park.

Lori Wilson Park will host the event on Saturday and Sunday. Event organizers will charge the public for parking at Lori Wilson Park this weekend.
