Just in case you meet any bears while out hiking...one MUST be able to protect oneself!
I believe you call this a diversion.....
This is a story of self control and marksmanship with an itsy bitsy shooter by a woman against a fierce predator.
What is the smallest caliber you trust to protect yourself?
The Beretta Jetfire:
While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my boyfriend we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging at us from out of nowhere. She must have been protecting her cubs because she was extremely aggressive. If I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire with me I would not be here today!
Just one shot to my boyfriend's knee cap was all it took…….the bear got him and I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace.
It's one of the best pistols in my collection……...

Bear's version of events:
So, I was in the woods, doing, well... you know what, when this couple came up the trail. I could hear the girlfriend crabbing and complaining at this poor guy. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and I charged them, hoping that they would run away and the lady would have something more interesting to talk about. You'll never believe what happened next: the b*tch pulled out this wimpy little like I don't know... 32 cal berretta and SHOT HER OWN FREAKING BOYFRIEND. Now, I could have told you she was one crazy beyotch, but damn. Cold blooded b*tch shot the poor dude in the freaking kneecap. So, I screamed "WHAT THE PHUCK YOU CRAZY B*TCH" but of course it came out as "GROWWWLLL." She ran. He dropped to the ground. Nothing I could do, so I picked up his phone and dialed 911. Then I whispered "Whatever you do, let that crazy b*tch think I ate you. Good luck." Then I bailed before the cops came. What a day.Warning: This post may contain language unsuitable for minors or math not suitable for liberal-arts majors.

01-31-2015 10:32 AMSo, based on the stated facts from the bear, it obviously wasn't a female bear protecting her cubs as the girl said. It had to be a male bear......

They were talking about bear in Florida, real news , not a joke. It was on national news. My In-laws are in Mt Dora for the winter. Mother in-law had one cross the road while she was walking her dog yesterday.
