Clarksburg, California (KCRA) — Two boats collided on California's Sacramento River near the Clarksburg Marina on Sunday, sending five people to a hospital.

Several victims were removed from the river on stretchers. Everyone is expected to survive, officials said.

The two boats were traveling in opposite directions just south of Clarksburg when the drivers accidentally turned the same way and collided.

Both boats were going about 35 mph at the time, but a sheriff's deputy said speed wasn't a factor in the crash.
