Results: Power Boat Racing At Ferry Reach

The Bermuda Power Boat Association hosted an afternoon of power boat racing today [Sept 7] at Ferry Reach which saw boats racing an offshore race and an inshore route.

The first race of the afternoon saw Around The Island Race winners David Selley with Jordan Fletcher in B-8 crossing the finish line and taking the checkered flag.

Howard Ascento and Ryan Spencer were second across the line in their D-4 Chivas Racing boat with the father and son team of Jody and Tony Carreiro in B-77 placing third in their JT Maintenance boat.

Following the top three were another father and son team in B-37 with Dennis Trott and Darius Zuill chased by A-30 with Chris Warboys and Steve Sherwin. Two other boats that either did not finish or did not start were the S-20 and A-90 respectively.

The inshore race saw David Selley and Jordan Fletcher in B8 take the checkered flag for the second race with Chris Warboys and Steve Sherwin in A-30 taking second. Dennis Trott and Darius Zuill in B-37 were unable to finish the race.

The next race day in the Bermuda Power Boat Association calendar sees power boat racing action in Dockyard on Sunday September 21 with racing scheduled to start at 1pm.
