not sure yet, have a little time to figure out. gonna be at least 565/700 merc. or ilmor equivalent. If I were to keep it 725 ilmors w indy drive. Only reason for wanting larger pwr is for the cruise speed. the 28 at 3k rpm does 53mph, that's awesome not working the engines at all.
1100merc 120kea. Starting hull Monday. making bulkhead panels...... working on graphics. more pics on way

boat is gonna be much lighter than Bills and with more power. As a side note, our booth for Miami boat show has been finalized as of yesterday. we are working with Dave Schaffer on the paint. were going to do 565 to 725 hp in the boat. Merc or ilmor???

    Paul,

could you pass my number to Tracy about the engines. I PM'd him, If he has time would like to talk to him

    Thanks

My vote is twin illmor 570's.. would be a wicked package. I have it from a trusted reliable source that the 570 is a strong motor and pulls hard. . 570's wiith its boxes and xr shorties....

If we do the ilmor's, torn between the merc drives/its or the imco scx on boxes.
Down fall for the ilmors is no whipple/upgrade pkg (that I know of) vs all merc engines have something.

good to see doug working so hard. very cool to see a 2nd one being built. looking forward to seeing the finished product. my vote is the merc 700's, but i think the 520's would sell the boat better do to the cost. are you doing anything with the balance compared to bill's? he sure goes thru the water smooth. best of luck with this venture.

The black center council would be awesome with the diesel arneson pkg. doug and I have talked about that.

we are taking a lot of weight out of the 34 compared to Bill's but still keeping the wave crush ability, changing x dim, extension box.....
All of the changes will effect the CG. Power will be decided on soon, waiting on info from some chart plot co's.... putting the whole package together.

As a side note the 28 is still for sale. if you know anyone looking for one. i'll take trades
