Brett Manire, company principle at Performance Boat Center, has filled in SeriusOffshore on their new marina's current amenities and their plans for the near future.

The new dealership/marina has 115 slips from 10x24 to 20x60, a fuel dock pumping 87-93 gas and diesel, a pump out, beer, ice etc…(and pretty dock girls). There is a new 12000sq ft showroom, plus a marina store with marina guest bathrooms down stairs, 10 offices, a conference room, plus a kitchen and bathroom upstairs.

It also hosts a new 12,000 sq ft Service center with 2 detail bays and a paint shop. They can service XR, NXT, and have all the #3 #4 #5 #6 and #8 tools.

Their new 20000 sq ft storage building for long term storage will be expanded with the plans to build another 15000sq ft building this fall.

They will be beginning construction for their 8000sqft restaurant/bar this fall which will be Power Boat themed and will feature two large pools.

They also kept 25000sqft of storage space at their old location for overflow storage.

As for Brett's response as to why they were able to have such rapid growth:

"Growth comes from many different angles. The economy is coming around, people are looking to get back into or expand in the Performance Boat world. We are aggressive, have built our customers trust and offer a full array of services to our customers. With that we are also fortunate to have a co-owner who sees the potential and has helped us create what we feel is the hottest Performance Boat facility in the nation.

We offer brokerage and new sales, financing, documentation, insurance, full service (engine, drives and rigging), full paint shop, transportation, dry, wet, indoor and outdoor storage, fuel dock and marina store.

Outerlimits and Statement Marine are our current brands, always looking to find the best products for our customers.

We have provided the pace boats for the Lake Race for a couple of years now as well as making contributions to keep the racers coming, we look forward to continuing our relationship with the event.

The new marina provides us the ability to offer a much more efficient process to getting our customers on the water faster. Whether it be in buying a new boat or getting in and out of service, the new location makes life much easier on everyone. We have become a boaters destination, many groups are constantly stopping in to see what’s new on the showroom floor and to visit with our staff.
    "

Shootout Guide: The Precision, Speed, and Legacy of Outerlimits

    Posted: Thursday, August 21, 2014 9:29 am | Updated: 9:41 am, Thu Aug 21, 2014.

    by Morgan Richards

Racing fans look forward to seeing the wide range of boats roaring down the course at the Lake of the Ozarks 2014 Shootout. Last year’s Top Gun, My Way, a 50-foot Outerlimits catamaran, reached a record-breaking speed of 224 mph. And whether or not owner Bill Tomlinson returns with My Way to defend his title, a host of Outerlimits boats will fill the Lake for the 2014 Shootout.

Outerlimits builds sleek, luxurious, high-performance powerboats. These high-quality watercraft are expertly crafted and customized to buyers’ specifications. The company’s obsessive attention to detail in the design process makes driving an Outerlimits boat like driving a brand new Lamborghini. Along with their good looks, Outerlimits boats offer impeccable performance. Light carbon fiber creates a flawless and fast piece of art. The company’s slogan perhaps says it all: “Comfort, safety, and elegance meet performance with no compromise.”

Outerlimits Powerboats have been named the universe’s fastest v-bottom boats, after Joe Srgo and Brian Forehand broke the World V-Bottom Kilo Speed Record in a 43-foot Outerlimits. It's safe to say that Outerlimits Powerboats are becoming a superpower in the racing world.

Owner and founder of Outerlimits Powerboats, Mike Fiore, is also a proud racer in the Shootout, driving and throttling his own personal Outerlimits boat. This year he's bringing the boat that won the 2008 World Championship in Key West, and the United States National Championship in Clearwater, Fla.: Snowy Mountain Brewery. Mike Fiore and his throttleman, Matthew Janssen, also known as the “Cutting Edge Team,” plan to push this 30-foot Outerlimits powerboat to the limit at this year’s Shootout. Their gameplan? “We are going to try and keep the record by being consistent.”

Outerlimits sells many of its boats directly from its headquarters in Bristol, Rhode Island. Beyond that, only one dealer in the entire United States is currently certified to sell Outerlimits, and that is Performance Boat Center, at Lake of the Ozarks. Located in Camdenton, Mo., Performance Boat Center is one of the largest powerboat dealerships in the country, specializing in buying and selling performance (and pleasure) boats. And for customers who want an Outerlimits, Performance Boat Center has the company’s SL-36 and SL-52 V-bottoms in stock, ready to hit the water.

Originally, the company was named Performance Boat Brokerage. Brett Manire had worked there for a year and a half when he decided it was time for a change. He joined forces with long-time friend and customer Mark Waddington, and together they bought the brokerage company and began the re-formation and evolution of what has become the premier, comprehensive boating center on the Lake of the Ozarks: Performance Boat Center.

Manire says the company began selling Outerlimits boats in 2012, and he chose the brand because of its technology, speed, and handling. “They’re ahead of their times, as far as design,” he said.

Performance Boat Center’s newest development, however, is a unique, luxurious club where boaters can refuel, unwind, and even do a little shopping: Redhead Yacht Club. Located on the 21 Mile Marker of the Lake of the Ozarks, Redhead Yacht Club offers more than 100 boat slips, boat sales, indoor and outdoor storage, and a fuel dock. Coming soon, alongside Redhead Yacht Club will be Bikinis Pool Bar — one of the largest of its kind on the Lake. The full-service bar will offer a perfect place to relax, have a drink, and cool off on a hot, summer day.

With a record-setting course and innovative design, Outerlimits boats have set a high standard in the world of performance boating. At the Shootout, fans who crave the extreme limits of performance will find that and more when Outerlimits boats pull up to the starting line.

    Outerlimits Powerboats
Driving an Outerlimits boat is like driving a brand new Lamborghini.

    A New Record
Outerlimits Powerboats CEO Mike Fiore throttled and boat owner Joe Srgo drove when the pair set the fastest-ever Lake of the Ozarks Shootout V-bottom speed record of 152 mph at the August 2013 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout. The team blew away the previous record, in a 2000, 43-ft. Outerlimits powered by twin 1350 Mercury Racing engines, in the Shootout PV5P2 division.

Srgo is a 15-time world and national champion, and an eight-time kilo record holder.

Srgo and Brian Forehand of Marker 17 Marine went on to break the world V-bottom kilo speed record on April 29, 2014, in an SV 43-ft. Outerlimits. Forehand drove and throttled in that run, with Srgo riding in the cockpit.

Reggie Fountain and Ben Robertson held the former Vee bottom kilo record of 171.88 mph set in 2004 on the same course—near the old Fountain factory on the Pamlico River in Washington, NC. They established that record in a 42-ft. Fountain.

Srgo’s record-breaking run posted a two-way average of 180.47 mph. The Outerlimits boat was powered by twin turbo 1650 Sterndrive race engines.

The day before, the team averaged 172.876, and were forced to quit early after debris from a tornado that ravaged the area on April 25 broke two props and a skeg.

After the 180-mph record-breaker the next day, Outerlimits team member Brian Forehand also set a new American Powerboat Association SV single kilo speed record of 100.840 on the same course. Forehand drove and throttled the 30-ft. Outerlimits powerboat Snowy Mountain Brewery. That boat is owned by Michael “Doc” Janssen and is powered by a single 525 EFI Sterndrive.

Speaking about Outerlimits Powerboats, Srgo said, “I believe in the product and the safety and the fact that what they do as a boat company is not economically driven. They are pioneers and they are an innovative company that understands how to make a product better.”
