A popular Marathon boat rental business owner died Saturday after he was thrown from a small vessel while en route to check on a customer broken down at sea.
Brian Aronoff, 49, owner of All Aboard Boat Rentals, 63 Coco Plum Drive, was thrown from a 1995, 18-foot Maycraft center console near Russell Key bayside in strong current about 10:30 a.m., according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The boat then struck his side.
