    New Laveycraft 28 EVO
    #1
Here are a few pics that were sent to me of the new 28 EVO that Lavey just finished. It will be making it's public debut at Desert Storm Poker Run! It might head over to the east coast for a little while before it gets shipped off to its home in Germany.

And what power is in it?

I'm not too sure where at exactly. I live in Japan now and no longer work for Lavey, so only get updates from my dad over the phone... From what I've gathered, most of their poker runs are in Ueckermünde. So I'm going to assume that's close to where they're located. To my knowledge there are currently 2 28 EVO's and 3 2750's over there so this will make the 3rd EVO in Germany. There is another 28 EVO that's going to be popped out of the mold pretty soon that will also be delivered to Germany!

This boat has an Ilmor 710 paired to an Imco box with SCX upper and -2 SC lower. On it's shakedown run the lake was a bit crowded so they were only able to run the motor to 5500rpm which got it to 90mph spinning a labbed 30* Merc Bravo1. So with the 700-800rpm it's got left and some more prop testing it should clip 100mph!

    In Japan? Doing what?

That's quite a ways from where my relatives live. Although Germany is not all that big.

I don't work for Lavey anymore because I enlisted in the Navy. I've been living in Japan for a bit over a year now and have been full active duty for a bit over 2 years. I work on and maintain the engines, transmissions, and rotor systems on MH-60R helicopters.

I deploy on a carrier 6 months out of the year. For the other 6 months my squadron is on land in Atsugi, Japan. I've also been deployed on a cruiser.

I was almost a navy guy. Would have been if my lottery number for the draft had been 100 or less way back. I had my mind made up....
