Super Boat International, which I raced with for many years, came to my little corner of paradise, here in SW Florida. I got around 2,000 photos, and have uploaded a few to get started. Check back often, I have tons of photos to look through.

Cool Frank. Too bad the water was so flat. Almost like a lake race instead of an ocean race.

Looks like you had a pretty good spot to shoot from.

Yes, the water was dead flat.
I had picked my spot, and then at the drivers meeting I found out they were running in the opposite direction.
Would have preferred they turned towards me, not away from me. With the 7D and 200mm, it all worked out.
Next time I will be sure to bring the 100-400L.

I did not want to carry the extra weight, or have to bring a 2nd lens for close up shots.

Next time, I think I will bring it.

That is the Talkin' Trash boat they redid over the winter. Awesome boat.....

I was talking with Shawn while they were driving home from the race. They got pinched and hosed at the start, three of the boats did, but after they got it straightened out they were catching Broadco by about 2 seconds per lap and starting to feel more comfortable with the boat every lap. They had no seat time to speak of before the race. Then they puked something in an engine........
