I can't even get a pizza delivered to my house, but the JW show up 1-2 times a month.

I'm going to call the Kingdom Hall in AJ and suggest that they start bringing pizza, and tell them that Dyce and Gaitz don't bite.

Actually, I'll wait until the next time I am in town. I like pizza.

We can tell them we are playing a drinking game, how many beers can we each drink before they leave.

Guess you need to move further into the country or have gated property. All my neighbors have gates and its probably why we don't get them knocking. Only by snail mail. My street: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=30050...ed=0CAcQ_AUoAQ see everyone gated.

My favorite JW story- it was a holiday weekend at my parents about 10 years ago. A couple JW knock on front door, they had children with them, one of the grand children let them in. My Dad walked them back out, about 30 min. later we asked where these kids came from. They left their kids at my parents house. We got them hooked back up, we still laugh at that day.

Saw some neighbors and asked them about JW's. They get the letters, no knocks. But they get Mormons almost once per month. I keep my gate closed and locked so don't get them either.

There is a really good pizza place on 88. It's actually closer than the place we went for wings.

Ponch, you can't get much further out in the desert than me. And trying to "gate" my place would cost a fortune and look like crap.

Most gates look like crap. But they keep out unwanted guests and are worth the expense.

You're on the Fraser, cool. I will never forget how the water from the Thompson changed when it hit the Fraser and then for like a mile, one half of the Fraser was blue and the other half brown until it all became brown again.

Sucia Island and Mateo Island are a couple of my favorite places to spend the night on a boat.....

I guess I don't have to gate the whole place. I could put in a nice iron gate at the end of the bridge to the porch for less than $500.
    I need to do that.
It'll keep the dogs on the porch too.

Best part of my gates is they keep the dogs close to home and off the road.

Other end of my street has a path down to the Fraser. From 1978 to 85 family had a 50ft or so Defever trawler and Sucia was one of our main places besides Orcas Island to stay at.

Had Witnesses living across the street from me for years and several other JW families in the neighborhood - they all hung out and kept to their own - except - they came to BBQs at my place, went boating with us and we babysat their kids. Early on, I had a pleasant but authoritive talk with them about theology, salvation, religion and spiritual benchmarks. The couple and their clan must have gotten the message that we were open to being genial neighbors and friends - just leave all the silliness out of it and it would go just peachy.

I just remembered my lawyers legal assistant is JW. We got into a discussion about separation of church and state once. Canada doesn't have it. She is a nice person and doesn't go around trying to convert clients. I was told by the other assistant she was JW.
