This is our Akita Zeus at 8 weeks old the night we got him last January and again 2 weeks later. He's gotten a "little" bigger since then.

He looks alot like the Akita I had 20 years ago. Great dogs Very loyal. Does Zeus howl like a bear when he's really happy?

Yes, They are great dogs, we had one for 15yrs before Zeus. LOL , he does have a funny howl when he's excited, one thing about Akitas is that they rarely ever bark and if they do it's for good reason.

These are my boys Tank & Quatro...They are littermates and are 6 years old...Sadely they were both hit by a police car and are both paralized. Please don't feel sorry for them...they are the two happiest dogs in the world. It has been 3 years since the accident and life goes on. Tank gets in his wheelchair and quatro gets pulled in his wagon (he has a bad front limb too).

Schnauzers? I've got a couple that were a package deal with the wife. Turned out to be great dogs though. Will have to find a pic or two when I get home.

Yep, best dogs either of us have ever had. Sibling/sisters; just over 3 years. They don't shed, and they don't stink; and incredibly smart.

Only time mine bark is if another dog walks by the yard or down the street and they see it. Also is someone knocks on the door. Other than that they're pretty quiet.

The nonshedding thing is my favorite part about them. That and the older one listens so well I swear she understands english better than most people.

My daughter has a schnauzer / Havanese cross. It barks its fool head off in concert with the schnauzer next door. High pitched and annoying as hell. It barks at my Auzzie Cow Dog if she plays fetch or tug or just about anything else with any member of the family. In general, a very noisey little dog. As my wife says, its a good thing shes cute as hell or I'd kill her
