I haven't even cleared the driveway, just drove right thru the imposing drifts.

I went out this morning in the diesel and when I got on the AW trail and gave it some rpms I threw a code. It was around -11 at the time.
It runs ok, not sure what the code is yet. Brought it home and switched to the car until I find out. Thinking something obscure and obviously cold related.

    good luck with the diesel

My garage door opener looked as though it was struggling when temps reached below zero
few degrees warmer, still single digits, and it seemed better
hopefully it will warm up and door will get better respectively

Thanks. I had put fresh diesel and a generous amount of additive in the tank a few days earlier. I am sure it is something obscure like turbo spooling speed or something. It runs fine. Just has a little outline of an engine lit up on the dash.

Yesterday our temp with wind chill was minus 35. Today it's 55 degrees warmer, but it still seemed really cold in my gym shorts and tee shirt. You'd think 55 degrees warmer would mean swim suit weather, wouldn't you?

They are talking an inch of rain here tonight, after the freezing rain for awhile.

Didn't the Polar Vortex stuff come out of that stupid movie a few years back where Al Gore said that was a legitimate concern of what would happen under Global Warming or some idiotic thing like that? I'm trying to remember who was in it, but it was a giant Polar Vortex deal and the entire northeast was in some frozen artic wasteland deal and only a few survived by burning books in the library or something?

I'll see if I can figure it out.

The movie was The Day After Tomorrow, it was scenes that Gore plagiarized from the made up stuff in the movie and then he used them in his movie he won that nobel prize from.

HE can have all his terms, phrases, and BS back.
    Take them all.
    Shove them.
And if he wants to believe his own $hi+ he is welcome to it !!!
Al Gore. He sure F'd us all.
Inconvienent for us, PROFITABLE for him....imagine that.
Hope the freezing rain does not materialize!
I hate to say it, but YEP going from the negative teens to 30 now makes it feel warm.
Not summer like, but WAY better than earlier this week.
I shoveled the neighbors roof off since she was scared it was going to give in.
May do a little off mine during the "heat wave"
Going to move some snow banks away from the garage too.
Afraid that may flood when the melt down happens.

I think flat roofs are the only worry with a couple feet of snow, then rain. Any slope at all should be fine unless there is a major dam at the edge.

Dang on my desktop so degree thingy doesn't work!!!! Its been hitting 50 all week last week. Looks like this one will be more of the same. Partly cloudy mostly sunny, so its kind of nice. Wont be too cold at the Vancouver boat show outdoor displays this week, good news for me.
